Hobby Forge Hobby Forge was created by a few guys around the office talking about their hobbies. One conversation led to another and we all started exploring new hobbies. With a fresh set of eyes, we started dreaming of new ways to enjoy these new pastimes – “wouldn’t it be cool if we could <insert idea>?”. As we talked through ideas, we realized we had the skills and tools to build some pretty cool gadgets! We would meet during lunches or after hours, toss around ideas on how things would function, and build prototypes at home.
After showing some of these prototypes to other enthusiasts, we knew we had to find a way to bring these ideas the community and Hobby Forge was born. We started the company as a way to share these products with you and will continue to build new ways to enjoy your favorite hobbies.
Little did we know that through tinkering and playing we would end up meeting great new friends, ardent fans, and even Youtube celebrities!
We were only able to make our dreams a reality by combining our varied skills. Electrical engineering, programming, rapid prototyping, and even woodworking were all involved in the creation of the Boom Box. Believe it or not, our early prototypes were carved out of MDF and covered with wires. We continue to share our ideas and skills to find new ways to play.
